Rick Kubian recently retired after 35 years with Parks Canada, finishing his career as the Field Unit Superintendent for Lake Louise, Yoho, and Kootenay National Parks. His extensive experience in fire and vegetation management includes working in Jasper National Park, the Western Canada Service Centre in Calgary, and Kootenay National Park, where he was deeply involved in restoration projects utilizing prescribed fire. Rick also holds an MSc focused on fire history in Kootenay National Park.
