BJ Randall Harris is a Registered Professional Forester living in Cranbrook, BC, with 50 years of experience in forestry, land management, and biology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Alberta and spent eight years coordinating the Rocky Mountain Trench Ecosystem Restoration Program, with the focus on restoring and maintaining open grassland habitats. Currently working as a freelance consultant.

Dianne Cooper is a dedicated birder and has been the volunteer caretaker of the Skookumchuck Prairie KBA for eight years. Her research on Lewis’s Woodpecker nesting played a pivotal role in upgrading the site’s status from an Important Bird Area to a Key Biodiversity Area. She also helps review the local sightings in eBird, maintains the East Kootenay bird checklist and compiles the 3 Rocky Mountain Naturalist Christmas Bird Counts.
