Pat Bavin was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia where mountains and nature are his playground. In 1991, he started training to become a Feng Shui practitioner which gave him new eyes to see the interaction between Nature’s elements and our senses and emotions.

In 2019, he became a certified guide and trail consultant of Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.

Patrick Carrick is the founder of Rhythm by Nature, a community-based initiative devoted to rhythm as a tool for connection, nervous system regulation, and collective well-being. Known for his work in team-building, schools, and festival settings, Patrick also brings a contemplative focus to nature-based rhythm facilitation.

In forest environments, he guides participants into a slower, more attuned relationship with sound through frame drumming, walking meditation, and sensory awareness practices. Drawing from community drumming methodologies and years of facilitation experience throughout the Canadian Rockies, Patrick invites people to experience rhythm not as performance, but as resonance.
