Jenny Feick is a keen naturalist with a BSc in environmental biology with a minor in physical geography, a Masters in Environmental Science, and a PhD in natural resource geography, all from the University of Calgary. During her 25-year coast to coast career with Parks Canada, she worked as a park naturalist in Mount Revelstoke & Glacier, Waterton Lakes, and Kootenay national parks, and then other positions in planning, research and management in Western and Atlantic regions. From 2000-2012, she managed various programs for the BC Ministry of Environment including habitat protection, terrestrial ecosystem science, stewardship outreach, climate change adaptation for nature, and environmental policy. She retired in 2012, founding Nature Wise Consulting and Nature Wise Yoga. She now lives in Invermere where she and her husband Ian Hatter enjoy exploring the Columbia valley and surrounding mountains. She volunteers for BC Parks as the warden for Mount Sabine Ecological Reserve near Canal Flats and assists her husband Ian Hatter who is the ER Warden for Columbia Lake Ecological Reserve.
