Chris Skinner moved to the Canadian Rockies in the mid-1990s in search of deep snow and meaningful mountain adventures, eventually making Invermere, British Columbia home. Over the years, he built a life around hiking, backpacking, and backcountry skiing in the Canadian Rockies and Columbia Mountains.

An outdoor enthusiast with nearly 20 years of experience exploring the Invermere area, Chris is a proud member of the ACMG and the Interpretive Guides Association. He has spent several years guiding multi-day backpacking trips, including ambitious expeditions on Baffin Island, along with many day hikes throughout the Columbia Valley. In winter, he continues his mountain work as an Avalanche Technician at Panorama Mountain Resort. Chris brings a genuine passion for wild places, a deep respect for the mountains, and an infectious enthusiasm for sharing unforgettable experiences in them.
