Brian Feeney is a Registered Forest Technician (RFT) with over 30 years of experience in the forest industry in the Columbia Valley. He spent much of his career working in the field with a forestry consulting firm based in Golden and now works as a Forest Planner with Canfor, where he helps guide responsible, sustainable forestry practices. An avid outdoor enthusiast and self-proclaimed “bird nerd,” Brian has spent countless hours exploring local forests and observing the wildlife that lives within them. He brings a deep, practical understanding of birds, mammals, and their habitats, and enjoys sharing how forestry operations can support biodiversity while maintaining healthy, working forests.

Christine Taylor is a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with more than 12 years of experience working across British Columbia’s Omineca, Peace, and Fort Nelson regions. Now based in the Kootenays, she brings a long-standing connection to the area, having spent her childhood summers camping and exploring its landscapes, and is grateful to finally call this beautiful region home. Her professional passion focuses on the relationships between wildlife, insects, ecosystems, and forestry practices, and she is committed to supporting and encouraging sustainable, responsible, and innovative approaches to forest management. Outside of work, Christine is an avid beekeeper and gardener who enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible—she claims it’s “field research,” but really, she just prefers trees to traffic.
