Carmen has felt the comfort of the forest since her early years growing up in the Columbia Valley. She studied Geography at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and specialized in topics of environmental education, including Mycology, Soil Science, Food Systems, and Ethnoecology. Since these studies, she has pursued a naturalist approach to learning about the forest. She is passionate about sharing the magic of the forest, its interconnectedness and identifying edible and medicinal plants and fungi.
