Event Description

Join geologist Sid Leggett for an hour and a half walk out on our interpretive loop trail adjacent to the Columbia River wetlands.  Sid will discuss the development of the mountains, the valley and the wet lands and how the ecology of the valley evolved.  He will also talk about the history of the area: the silver mines, the steam paddle wheelers that went up and down the Columbia River and stories of the initial settlers in the area. Level: easy

 

What to Bring: Camera, Binoculars, Good Hiking boots, Sketchpad, Outerwear suitable for changing weather conditions. Bring your lunch to enjoy after the walk
